Legend has it, the Cofficionado created a smooth barista-style coffee by grinding each whole bean with his bare hands, and can whip up a frothy, creamy Latte with just a splash of water.
Immerse were tasked with delivering the crucial sampling element of an integrated campaign – to drive visibility and trial market interest with a focus on refreshment, ease and taste.
Our target was to distribute a large volume of both wet and dry samples with money-off leaflets.
A converted sampling van visited 15 cities across the UK. It was wrapped to emphasise the strong branding of the product and echo the TVC, creating a sampling station with an impressive visual impact. Samples were prepared constantly throughout each day and were served in recyclable branded cups with domed lids and paper straws. The 20 second TVC was played on a TV screen within the van. The water was chilled to the ideal temperature before the drink was served over ice.
Over 8 weeks we toured 15 cities plus 2 retailer HQs and the Jacobs Douwe Egberts HQ. Over 83k cups of iced latte were sampled, as well as 208k dry sachet samples and accompanying leaflets. 100k dry sachet samples were also distributed to offices across London. The total reach of the campaign was 392k samples.
